The Classical Method
Every subject at FCCS is approached through the trivium — the time-tested pattern of learning that matches how children naturally grow: first gathering knowledge, then understanding it, then expressing it winsomely.
The building blocks of every subject. Young students delight in memorizing, chanting, and gathering the facts, rules, and stories that form the foundation of learning.
As students mature, they naturally begin to ask "why?" The logic stage trains them to reason carefully, sort truth from error, and understand how ideas fit together.
Finally, students learn to express what is true with clarity, persuasion, and beauty — speaking and writing as men and women prepared to build, beautify, and defend.
More Than Facts
For centuries our forefathers in the faith knew that education was not the process of filling a mind with facts like filling a box with things. Rather, education is the ordering of loves.
Students who are educated well are students who have a love for what is True, Good, and Beautiful — namely Christ Himself. We seek to help students become men and women of prudence, fortitude, temperance, and justice.
The University Model
Students spend Monday and Wednesday together in the classroom under their teachers, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at home completing guided studies with their parents.
This rhythm keeps the family at the center of a child's education while giving students the benefit of gifted teachers, classmates, and accountability.
